Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in East London. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing mechanical systems. You will work on diverse projects, delivering innovative solutions and ensuring quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage project timelines and budgets while ensuring quality deliverables.
• Lead design reviews and provide input for design improvements.
• Conduct root cause analysis for design failures and implement corrective actions.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and interns.
• Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure timely delivery of components.
• Facilitate project kickoff meetings to align team members on project goals.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering and design processes

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

Soft Skills

• Leadership

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in project management: Experience managing engineering projects from inception to completion.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards: Knowledge of industry standards and compliance regulations.
