Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of our software products through rigorous testing and debugging processes. You will collaborate closely with developers to identify issues, recommend solutions, and subsequently validate the effectiveness of these solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA sprint meetings and ensure testing timelines are met.
• Enhance existing test plans and scripts based on product changes.
• Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements.
• Document all phases of testing and create end-user documentation.
• Establish quality metrics and continuously monitor the quality of components.
• Conduct training sessions for new team members to familiarize them with QA protocols.
• Engage in troubleshooting issues in development and production environments.
• Communicate findings to the engineering team and ensure timely resolution.
• Contribute to setting up a robust test environment.
• Foster a culture of quality across teams within the organization.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Engineering
• Master's degree in a related field is desirable

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testing methodologies

• Certified Agile Tester (CAT)

Languages

• English: Fluent
