Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Underwriter to join our Durban office. The ideal candidate will assess risks, determine coverage, and collaborate with agents to develop policies that meet client needs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments and analyses for new insurance policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product offerings.
• Ensure all underwriting documentation is accurate and complete.
• Provide insights on potential improvements in product design and pricing strategies.
• Participate in client meetings to discuss coverage options and policy renewals.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or a related field

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in underwriting or related insurance roles

Technical Skills

• Statistical Analysis
• Market Research

• Negotiation Skills
• Team Leadership

Certifications

• Certificate in Insurance (CII)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
