Pharmacist

Job Description

As a Pharmacist with our organization in Johannesburg, you will be responsible for managing medication distribution, advising patients on pharmaceutical care, and ensuring compliance with health regulations. A compassionate approach to customer service combined with your pharmaceutical expertise will contribute to the well-being of our patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist in formulating drug prescription policies and procedures.
• Train pharmacy interns and pharmacy assistants.
• Participate in pharmacovigilance and reporting of adverse drug reactions.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the pharmacy.
• Promote safe medication disposal practices to patients.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
• Registered Pharmacist with active license required

Experience

• 3+ years of experience preferably in retail pharmacy

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of Drug Interactions
• Compounding Skills

Soft Skills

• Empathy
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in multiple languages: Ability to assist a broader patient base.
• Leadership experience: Experience managing a pharmacy team or operations.
