Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Veterinarian to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to a variety of animals, conducting examinations, diagnosing conditions, and formulating treatment plans. You will work closely with our veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure a welcoming and efficient service for pet owners.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct examinations and diagnose medical conditions in animals.
  • Administer treatments, vaccines, and medications as needed.
  • Perform surgeries and manage recovery of patients.
  • Educate pet owners about animal health and preventive care.
  • Maintain detailed records of all veterinary procedures.
  • Supervise veterinary technicians and assistants.
  • Promote animal welfare through community engagement and education.
  • Collaborate with pet owners on health strategies for their animals.
  • Continue professional development through workshops and conferences.
  • Ensure clinic protocols comply with veterinary standards.

Requirements

Education
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
  • Master's degree in Veterinary Science is a plus
Experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on veterinary experience preferred.
