Job Description

As an Emergency Management Coordinator, you will play a vital role within our Johannesburg office, handling crisis management and emergency response training. We are looking for someone with a strategic mindset and experience in emergency procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Lead emergency response operations and make real-time decisions.
  • Facilitate communication between all stakeholders during emergencies.
  • Develop training materials for staff on emergency procedures.
  • Assess community needs and resources for emergency management.
  • Establish a network with local emergency services and NGOs.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of emergency response efforts.
  • Create public awareness campaigns around safety practices.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities.
  • Maintain accurate records of all emergency management activities.
  • Participate in continuous professional development in emergency management.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Social Sciences, or related field
  • Relevant certifications in emergency management is a plus
