Job Description

We are currently seeking a Reeler to join our post-production team. In this role, you will be tasked with handling and organizing film and video reels, ensuring accurate labeling and storage to facilitate seamless production processes. Attention to detail and a solid understanding of media management are key to success.

Responsibilities

  • Handle and organize film and video reels in our media library.
  • Manage and maintain digital archives to ensure content is preserved.
  • Verify correct labeling of all media to facilitate quick retrieval.
  • Support editors during the post-production process with required media.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO and other quality control standards.
  • Implement safety protocols during the operation of machinery.
  • Participate in training sessions on new equipment or processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of media for external clients as needed.
  • Collaborate with production teams to understand workflow requirements.
  • Maintain records of equipment maintenance and repair.

Requirements

Education
  • Grade 12 certificate
  • Tertiary qualification in a related technical field is a plus

  • 2+ years in a media production environment
