Job Description

As a Restaurant Inspector, you will conduct thorough inspections of various food service operations across Cape Town, ensuring compliance with local health and safety regulations. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in safeguarding public health by evaluating food safety standards and implementing corrective measures.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections of food establishments and evaluate adherence to food safety standards.
  • Review and monitor operational processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Engage with management to encourage compliance with safety regulations.
  • Document findings effectively to aid in continuous improvement recommendations.
  • Provide guidance and technical advice to food establishments.
  • Attend meetings with stakeholders to discuss food safety initiatives.
  • Utilize digital tools for efficient reporting and tracking of inspections.
  • Participate in inspections across various locations in Cape Town as required.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Hospitality Management, or related field
  • Certification in food safety and sanitation
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in food safety and hygiene inspections, especially within the restaurant industry.
