Tax Consultant

Job Description

We are searching for a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Tax Consultant to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have experience in tax compliance, planning, and consulting. In this role, you will provide expert tax advice to clients, ensuring they meet their tax obligations while minimizing their tax liabilities.

Responsibilities

• Draft and review tax returns for compliance and accuracy.
• Advise clients on potential tax-saving opportunities.
• Perform tax audits and assist clients with compliance issues.
• Prepare documentation for tax appeals and negotiations.
• Build strong relationships with clients to understand their needs.
• Research tax topics and provide guidance based on findings.
• Assist with the training of junior staff on tax procedures.
• Develop and implement effective tax strategies for clients.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance
• CA(SA) or similar certification is highly regarded

Experience

• 3+ years of relevant experience in taxation or auditing
