Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Structural Engineer to join our Pretoria team. You will play a crucial role in designing and overseeing the construction of a variety of projects ranging from residential buildings to large-scale commercial complexes. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of engineering principles and be ready to tackle complex design challenges.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design meetings and workshops with stakeholders to gather requirements.
• Utilize engineering software for the modeling and simulation of structures.
• Evaluate and recommend sustainable materials and construction practices.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in structural engineering.
• Prepare bids and cost estimates for projects.
• Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Master’s degree in Structural Engineering is an added advantage

Experience

• 4-6 years of structural engineering experience

Technical Skills

• Revit
• Structural Analysis Software

Soft Skills

• Team Leadership
• Time Management

Certifications

• Chartered Engineer (CEng)
• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with building codes: Knowledge of local and international building regulations.
