Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We're on the lookout for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Pietermaritzburg. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing mechanical systems, ensuring quality and efficiency in a range of projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of mechanical systems and components.
• Conduct testing to validate designs and ensure compliance with standards.
• Prepare project proposals and cost estimates for clients.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to enhance project outcomes.
• Provide technical training sessions for personnel and clients.
• Stay updated with new technologies and techniques in mechanical engineering.
• Support the development of innovative solutions to unique engineering problems.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• SolidWorks

Certifications

• Six Sigma Certification
• Lean Manufacturing Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
