Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Compliance Officer to join our team in Pretoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring our compliance with tax laws and regulations, managing tax filings, and advising on tax-related issues to drive financial efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Support the finance team in achieving overall financial objectives.
• Evaluate and improve tax compliance processes.
• Assist in disputes with tax authorities, if necessary.
• Stay updated on best practices in tax compliance.
• Engage with stakeholders to communicate tax-related information.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce or relevant field
• Postgraduate qualification in Taxation is an advantage

Experience

• 3+ years of practical tax experience

Technical Skills

• Tax Compliance Software
• Financial Reporting

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving Skills
• Interpersonal Skills

Certifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA) is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Basic

• Ability to train junior staff: Capable of mentoring and training less experienced team members.
