Job Description

As an Actuary at our firm, you'll be responsible for analysing financial data and assessing risks to provide insights that inform strategic decisions. This role requires proficiency in actuarial methodologies and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct actuarial valuations and analyses.
• Design and enhance pricing frameworks for financial products.
• Communicate complex actuarial concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Evaluate the impact of economic and demographic changes on financial models.
• Participate in client meetings and industry conferences.
• Foster relationships with stakeholders to gather necessary data.
• Support actuarial team in project management and delivery.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or Finance
• Fellow in the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) is advantageous

Experience

• 2-4 years of relevant actuarial experience

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Fellowship with the Actuarial Society of South Africa (ASSA): Membership with a recognized actuarial society enhances credibility.
