Job Description

As a Public Health Officer in Cape Town, you will be responsible for monitoring health trends and implementing preventive health measures. You will work closely with healthcare providers, policymakers, and the community to drive positive health changes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead community health assessments and analyze data.
  • Create strategic plans for public health interventions.
  • Educate the public on health-related issues and promote healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Collaborate with schools and businesses to implement wellness programs.
  • Manage budgets and resources for public health projects.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders and community forums.
  • Schedule and conduct community outreach events.
  • Train and oversee support staff and volunteers.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of health programs and outcomes.
  • Monitor the implementation of health policies and improve compliance.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health or related field
  • Master's degree in Public Health is preferred
