Chemical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Chemical Engineer to join our innovative team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing processes and equipment for large-scale production, ensuring safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop process flow diagrams and equipment specifications.
• Conduct experiments and analyze data to optimize chemical processes.
• Implement methodologies to enhance safety and sustainability in processes.
• Work closely with project managers to ensure timely project delivery.
• Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving for complex issues.
• Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in production processes.
• Coordinate with suppliers for necessary materials and equipment.
• Document all engineering changes and maintain records.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in chemical engineering

Certifications
