Job Description

As a Tax Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing the tax obligations of our clientele. You will work closely with our financial team to ensure that all tax submissions are timely and accurate. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in taxation, proficiency in relevant software, and a commitment to professional development within the finance industry.

Responsibilities

• Review and prepare tax returns for individuals and organizations with precision.
• Analyze current tax laws for impacts on business decisions.
• Act as a point of contact for clients on tax matters.
• Stay knowledgeable about local and international tax policies.
• Liaise with external tax advisors for ongoing projects and assessments.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies as they relate to taxes.
• Manage the tax compliance calendar to ensure timely filings.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related disciplines
• Honours in Taxation preferred

Experience

• 4-6 years of extensive experience in the taxation field

• Tax Legislation Knowledge

Certifications

• Registered Tax Practitioner with SAIT
• CFA or equivalent is advantageous

Languages

• English: Fluent
