Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Clinician to join our team in Port Elizabeth. In this role, you will work closely with clients to provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning. Your expertise will play a crucial role in improving the mental well-being of individuals and families in our community.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of clients' mental health concerns.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessments.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
  • Facilitate support groups for clients and their families.
  • Stay updated with the latest mental health research and practices.
  • Build rapport with clients to foster a supportive therapeutic environment.
  • Provide crisis intervention when necessary.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Counseling or Mental Health
  • Relevant certifications in mental health treatment are a plus
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in community mental health services
