Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose mental health conditions based on established criteria.
• Provide psychotherapy and counseling tailored to individual client needs.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
• Implement treatment interventions based on client assessments and feedback.
• Document all client interactions and treatment plans in a timely manner.
• Support and engage in mental health outreach programs in the community.
• Conduct research and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a clinical setting

Technical Skills

• Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
• Family Therapy

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Certified Mental Health Counselor (CMHC)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Fluency in multiple languages: Proficiency in Afrikaans or Zulu is an advantage.
