Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Plant Operator to manage operations at our manufacturing facility in Durban. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the production line, ensuring adherence to safety standards, and maintaining equipment functionality to optimize productivity.

Responsibilities

• Manage the operation of machinery and ensure optimal production.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals.
• Maintain accurate performance records and report findings.
• Identify and rectify inefficiencies in production processes.
• Participate in safety audits and compliance checks.
• Assist with the onboarding and training of new staff.
• Engage with maintenance teams to schedule necessary repairs.
• Contribute ideas for process improvements and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Ensure that all products meet quality specifications before shipment.
• Adhere to scheduled maintenance and safety protocols.

Requirements

Education

• Mathematics and Science knowledge is a plus
• Technical Diploma in a related field is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of relevant experience in plant operation
