Construction Laborer

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Construction Laborers to join our production team. As a Construction Laborer, you will be responsible for preparing and cutting materials for mat production, assembling and weaving mats, and ensuring that all products meet our quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Utilize hand tools and machinery to assemble mats.
• Assist in training new staff on production techniques.
• Monitor workflow and report discrepancies to supervisors.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss daily objectives.
• Help troubleshoot any production issues as they arise.
• Encourage a positive and productive team environment.
• Follow up on the maintenance schedule of equipment.
• Help ensure the workspace is safe and compliant with regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Matric Certificate or equivalent

Experience

• Prior experience in handicrafts or manufacturing is advantageous.

Technical Skills

• Hand-Eye Coordination
• Machine Operation

Soft Skills

• Adaptability
• Time Management

Advantageous

• Knowledge of different materials used in mat production: Experience with common materials like straw and reed.
• Prior experience in craft-making: Hands-on experience in a hands-on manufacturing role.
