Job Description

We are in search of a seasoned Technical Writer to join our creative team in Johannesburg. This role requires a keen understanding of technology and the ability to clearly communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining documentation, manuals, and guides that support our innovative software products.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards.
• Coordinate with graphic designers to create visual content for documentation.
• Conduct training sessions for users on how to utilize the documentation.
• Stay updated on new technologies to accurately communicate their use.
• Assist in the development of technical training materials and resources.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss documentation updates and needs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Communication or a related field
• Master's degree in Technical Communication or English preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of technical writing experience in a software environment

• HTML/CSS Knowledge
• Data Visualization Tools

Certifications

• Technical Communication Certification
• Agile Documentation Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Graphic Design Tools: Experience using graphic design tools such as Adobe Illustrator or similar for documentation support.
