Public Health Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Public Health Specialist to join our team in Durban. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing health programs that promote well-being and prevention strategies. You'll engage with community stakeholders to advocate for health initiatives and ensure that our services meet local needs.

Responsibilities

• Design and facilitate public health campaigns and educational workshops.
• Analyze data related to community health to improve programs.
• Implement disease prevention strategies tailored to the local population.
• Create partnerships to enhance public health service delivery.
• Provide training and support to health practitioners in the community.
• Advise on best practices for public health promotion.
• Develop strategic plans to address emerging health issues.
• Keep up-to-date with public health policies and legislation.
• Set public health priorities based on assessed community needs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health or related field
• Master's degree in Public Health is strongly preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in public health project management
