Job Description

We are seeking a creative and skilled Landscape Architect to join our innovative team in Port Elizabeth. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing diverse landscape projects, from urban parks to residential gardens. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of environmental sustainability and a passion for creating beautiful outdoor spaces.

Responsibilities

• Create innovative designs that harmonize with natural environments.
• Conduct field surveys to inform design decisions.
• Draft landscape plans utilizing design software for efficient presentation.
• Collaborate on environmental restoration projects to improve biodiversity.
• Manage client communications to ensure project alignment with their vision.
• Deliver design presentations to stakeholders.
• Evaluate and select non-toxic materials to enhance sustainability.
• Lead workshops to engage public interest in landscape projects.
• Research emerging trends in landscape architecture to inform innovative design practices.
• Coordinate with contractors during the installation phase to ensure design integrity.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or related field
• Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture is an advantage

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in landscape design or architecture

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• SketchUp
• Adobe Creative Suite

Soft Skills

• Creativity

Certifications

• Registered Landscape Architect (RLA)
• LEED Green Associate

Languages

• English: Fluent
