Job Description

Join our Durban-based surveying team as a Surveyor, where you will be responsible for conducting land surveys, preparing survey documents, and collaborating with engineers and construction teams. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and a passion for accuracy in measurements.

Responsibilities

• Lead field survey operations and ensure high-quality data collection.
• Coordinate with the project teams to develop effective survey strategies.
• Train and supervise junior staff in surveying techniques.
• Review and verify survey calculations and data accuracy.
• Contribute to the preparation of project bids and proposals.
• Identify and resolve survey-related issues promptly.
• Ensure that all surveying equipment is properly maintained.
• Provide expert advice on land use and zoning regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Geomatics or a similar discipline
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the surveying field

Technical Skills

• 3D Laser Scanning
• Total Station
• Surveying Software

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Analytical Skills

Certifications

• Certified Survey Technician (CST)
• Remote Sensing Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational
