Job Description

As an Insurance Underwriter at our firm, you will be crucial in assessing risks and determining the terms and coverage of insurance policies. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to interpret complex data to make informed decisions.

Responsibilities

• Carry out risk assessments for new and existing policies.
• Develop underwriting guidelines in line with company policy.
• Assist in developing training materials for junior underwriters.
• Ensure timely processing of applications and communication with clients.
• Evaluate claims and provide feedback to claims teams.
• Monitor market trends and adjust policy terms accordingly.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or relevant field
• Insurance-related certifications preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in underwriting or risk management

Certifications

• Certified Underwriter (CU)
