Pharmacist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, advising patients on drug interactions and side effects, and ensuring compliance with health regulations. You will play a vital role in improving patient health outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe and effective use of medications.
• Provide counseling and support for patients regarding their medications.
• Conduct training sessions for pharmacy and sales staff.
• Stay updated with new medications, therapies, and regulations.
• Assist in resolving medication-related issues and concerns.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
• Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in community pharmacy

Technical Skills

• Medication Therapy Management
• Patient Counseling

Soft Skills

• Detail-oriented
• Team Player

Certifications

• Registered Pharmacist (SAPC)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Bilingual (English and Afrikaans): Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Afrikaans.
• Experience in a clinical pharmacy setting: Background in providing pharmaceutical care in a clinical environment.
