Electrical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Durban. In this role, you will design, develop and implement electrical systems and components, contributing to projects that aim to enhance efficiency and sustainability within the engineering sector.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical projects from conception to completion.
• Create and implement testing procedures for electrical systems.
• Conduct field inspections and assessments of electrical installations.
• Advise on energy efficiency improvements and retrofits.
• Participate in the training and development of engineering staff.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Postgraduate qualification in project management is advantageous

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in electrical design and project execution

Technical Skills

• Power Systems Analysis
• AutoCAD or similar design software

Soft Skills

• Communication Skills
• Analytical Thinking

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with electrical testing and commissioning: Proficient in the testing and commissioning procedures of electrical equipment.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations: Familiar with SANS, IEC, and relevant local regulations.
