We are on the lookout for a Chemical Engineer to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in chemical processes and a passion for innovation. You will work closely with our product development team to design and improve chemical manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency and adherence to safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct experiments in the lab to develop new chemical processes.
• Scale up successful processes for production use.
• Monitor and optimize existing manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product quality.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations.
• Document all findings and prepare reports on experimental results.
• Analyze data and provide actionable insights for process improvements.
• Support product trials and assist with troubleshooting during production.
• Train junior engineers and laboratory staff as needed.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to innovate new product ideas.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or closely related field

Experience

• 2+ years of relevant work experience in a chemical manufacturing environment
