Job Description

We are seeking a Public Health Specialist to join our dedicated team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in developing and implementing public health programs, conducting research, and improving community health outcomes. This role requires a deep understanding of public health principles, community health interactions, and health promotion strategies. You will collaborate closely with health professionals and community organizations to address health disparities and enhance the overall well-being of our population.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the monthly closing process.
• Prepare both statutory and internal financial reports.
• Conduct cost analysis and profitability assessments.
• Assist in setting up financial systems and software.
• Keep abreast of industry trends affecting billing and collections.
• Establish effective relationships with vendors and clients.
• Handle discrepancies and resolve issues with financial data.
• Create financial models to assist in decision making.
• Prepare reports for review by senior management.
• Contribute to strategic financial planning initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Master's degree in Finance is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in accounting

• Taxation Knowledge
• Financial Analysis

• Problem Solving

Certifications

• ACCA Certification or similar
• Professional membership in a recognised accounting body is preferred

Languages

• English: Fluent
