Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you'll play a crucial role in our operations in Durban by ensuring that our maintenance practices are implemented effectively. This position requires a strong technical background, hands-on skills, and an eye for detail. You will actively contribute to the overall efficiency of our facilities by conducting regular inspections and repairs.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and maintain electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Respond to maintenance requests from staff proactively.
  • Evaluate equipment performance and make recommendations for upgrades.
  • Assist in planning and scheduling maintenance work.
  • Provide reports on maintenance activities and issues.
  • Coordinate with external contractors when necessary.
  • Support installation projects by providing maintenance expertise.
  • Educate staff on safe equipment usage and maintenance practices.
  • Keep up to date with industry best practices in maintenance.

Requirements

Education
  • N3 Certificate in a technical field
  • Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role
