Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mining Engineer to join our operations in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing mining operations while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans for resource extraction.
• Conduct safety audits and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project initiatives.
• Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement.
• Prepare reports and present findings to senior management.
• Manage environmental impact assessments and compliance.
• Provide guidance on best practices and innovative technologies.
• Coordinate with suppliers and contractors for project execution.
• Assist in budgeting and cost control procedures.
• Foster relationships with local communities and stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Mining Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the mining sector
