Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a talented Civil Engineer to join our Pretoria team. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing construction projects from inception to completion while ensuring compliance with technical specifications. You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and overseeing projects that enhance our infrastructure sectors.

Responsibilities

• Lead project planning sessions and establish project schedules.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment and resource allocation.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments.
• Review and approve design plans and technical drawings.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and interns.
• Ensure adherence to quality control and safety standards at all project sites.
• Prepare budgets and monitor project expenses to ensure fiscal responsibility.
• Draft and present project proposals to stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of professional experience in civil engineering roles

Technical Skills

• Geotechnical Engineering
• Civil Engineering Software (e.g., Civil 3D)

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Time Management

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Professional registration with ECSA: Registered as a Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa.
