Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are in search of a Civil Engineer to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing construction projects, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. This role requires creative problem-solving and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop civil engineering designs that meet client requirements and environmental standards.
• Negotiate contracts and liaise with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Review project proposals to determine feasibility and cost estimates.
• Assist in the preparation of funding applications and reports.
• Monitor project milestones and adjust plans as necessary.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement and community consultations.
• Report on project progress to management and clients.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Civil Engineering is an advantage

Experience

• 7+ years in civil engineering with a focus on project management

• Geotechnical Engineering
• Structural Analysis Software

Certifications

• Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

Languages

• English: Fluent
