Job Description

As a Public Health Specialist, you will play a critical role in developing health policies and strategies that address public health challenges in Durban. You’ll engage with community leaders to implement effective health education and outreach activities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead public health projects focused on improving community health.
  • Evaluate and propose public health policies and strategies.
  • Facilitate training sessions for health workers and volunteers.
  • Implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks for health programmes.
  • Work with local schools to enhance health education.
  • Conduct workshops and seminars on health-related topics.
  • Collaborate with NGOs and governmental health agencies.
  • Track healthcare trends and develop strategies accordingly.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health or related field
  • Master's degree in Public Health is preferred
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in public health or community health roles
