Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pharmacist to join our team in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, advising patients on proper medication usage, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care. You will play a pivotal role in addressing patient needs and ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceuticals.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the appropriateness of prescribed medications and dosages.
  • Counsel patients on the safe and effective use of medications.
  • Manage pharmacy operations and ensure compliance with laws.
  • Participate in community health initiatives and outreach.
  • Develop and implement pharmacy policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate and recommend new medication therapies.
  • Provide immunizations and preventive health services.
  • Assist in training pharmacy staff and interns.
  • Keep up with industry trends and changes in legislation.
  • Serve as a resource for drug information and pharmacy practice.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or a related field
  • PharmD preferred but not required
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy experience
