Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in structural design and analysis, with experience in using various engineering software tools. You will be responsible for developing innovative solutions while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design projects from concept through to completion.
• Utilize advanced software for modeling and analysis.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers.
• Liaise with local authorities on compliance and permit requirements.
• Ensure that all designs meet safety and sustainability standards.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate materials for construction.
• Mentor and train junior staff on engineering best practices.
• Develop project proposals and cost estimates for clients.

Requirements

Education

• Master's Degree in Structural Engineering
• Additional certifications in project management are advantageous

Experience

• 6+ years of experience in project delivery within the structural engineering sector

• ETABS
• STAAD.Pro

Certifications

• LEED Accredited Professional
• Certified Construction Manager (CCM)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational
