Responsibilities

• Evaluate animal health through physical exams and medical history assessments.
• Develop and implement treatment plans for various conditions.
• Perform diagnostic imaging and laboratory tests.
• Oversee the administration of medications and vaccinations.
• Consult with pet owners about their animal’s health and wellness.
• Supervise support staff and provide training as necessary.
• Participate in continuous education to enhance professional skills.
• Advocate for animal welfare and responsible pet ownership.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc)
• Registration with the South African Veterinary Council (SAVC)

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of veterinary experience preferred
