Job Description

Seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Underwriter in Durban who is skilled at analyzing clients' financial data and insurance requirements. This role involves collaborating with agents and clients to provide tailored insurance solutions.

Responsibilities

• Review applications and determine coverage for risks based on guidelines.
• Communicate with clients to gather additional documentation as necessary.
• Prepare underwriting reports and present findings to management.
• Negotiate rates, terms, and conditions with brokers and agents.
• Stay updated on legislation and changes within the insurance industry.
• Participate in training and development programs to enhance underwriting skills.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Finance, or related field
• Master’s degree is preferred

Experience

• At least 5 years of underwriting experience preferred
