Job Description

As a Cath Lab Technologist, you will play a vital role in assisting with cardiac catheterization procedures, performing diagnostic imaging tests, and providing technical support within the Catheterization Laboratory. This position demands a solid understanding of cardiovascular anatomy and proficiency in cath lab technologies.

Responsibilities

• Support cardiac procedures and assist in post-procedure evaluations.
• Ensure readiness of the catheterization lab by preparing necessary equipment.
• Conduct quality control on imaging equipment to maintain effective operation.
• Educate patients about procedure logistics and expected outcomes.
• Assist in training new staff and support ongoing professional development.
• Contribute to research initiatives focused on cardiology improvement.
• Develop strong communication with cardiologists and nursing staff for optimal team performance.
• Engage in continuous improvement practices within the Cath Lab.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute insights.
• Conduct regular equipment checks and facilitate repairs as needed.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Medical Imaging or Radiography.
• Additional certification for specialized cardiac technologies is preferred.

Experience

• 3+ years of practical experience in Cath Lab settings.
