Paving, Surfacing, and Tamping Equipment Operator

Job Description

As a Paving Machine Operator, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of paving machinery on construction sites. The ideal candidate should have experience in paving, asphalt, and concrete laying, with a keen eye for detail and safety.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and maintain paving machines, including rollers and asphalt pavers.
• Conduct pre-operational checks and inspections on machinery.
• Coordinate with the Paving Supervisor to meet project milestones.
• Train and mentor junior operators in safe machine operation.
• Assess and improve machine operation efficiency.
• Document and report any mechanical issues to the maintenance team.
• Participate in safety meetings and adhere to best practices.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the job site and equipment.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical certification in construction or machinery is advantageous

Experience

• At least 3 years of experience in construction paving roles.
