Responsibilities

• Develop innovative designs that optimize structural performance and efficiency.
• Simulate and test structural designs under various loading conditions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive project plans.
• Track project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
• Report findings and recommendations to senior management.
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance engineering skills.
• Contribute to the preparation and submission of project bids.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or relevant field
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) registration is essential

Experience

• 5+ years of professional experience in structural engineering

Technical Skills

• STAAD Pro
• Civil 3D

Soft Skills

• Project management
• Team leadership

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with local building codes and regulations: Up-to-date knowledge of South African building codes and requirements.
• Experience in project management software: Proficient in tools like MS Project for tracking project timelines and resources.
