Job Description

As a Fire Inspector and Investigator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring fire safety compliance. Your responsibilities will include conducting inspections, performing maintenance on fire extinguishers, and investigating fire incidents.

Responsibilities

• Inspect fire safety equipment and installation sites for compliance.
• Maintain and repair fire extinguishers and other equipment.
• Document inspection results and prepare compliance reports.
• Train staff on fire safety protocols and emergency response.
• Oversee installation of new fire safety systems.
• Investigate fire incidents and prepare investigation reports.
• Stay updated on fire safety regulations and industry standards.
• Coordinate with emergency services during incidents.
• Support fire safety audits and reviews.
• Engage with clients to develop customized fire safety solutions.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Fire Extinguisher Technician certification

Experience

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of fire safety regulations
• Troubleshooting skills

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Communication

Certifications

• Valid driver's license

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with fire alarm systems: Knowledge in the installation and maintenance of fire alarm systems.
