Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinarian to join our dedicated team in Knysna. In this role, you will provide medical care and treatment to a variety of animals, ensuring their health and well-being. You will work closely with pet owners, conducting examinations, diagnosing illnesses, and providing appropriate treatments. The ideal candidate is passionate about animal care and possesses strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient histories and conduct physical exams.
• Conduct diagnostic tests and interpret the results.
• Create treatment plans tailored to each individual animal.
• Perform soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries as required.
• Engage in preventive health care, promoting wellness programs.
• Guide and train junior staff members in clinic procedures.
• Ensure compliance with health regulations and clinic protocols.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Veterinary Science is preferred
• Registration with the South African Veterinary Council (SAVC)

Experience

• 3+ years of experience working in a clinic setting

• Animal Behavior Assessment

Certifications

• Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS)
