Responsibilities

• Support pharmacists in daily pharmacy operations.
• Prepare, package, and label medications accurately.
• Maintain effective communication with patients and healthcare providers.
• Review prescriptions for accuracy and completeness.
• Supervise pharmacy assistants or interns when needed.
• Participate in training initiatives and workshops.
• Stay informed on new medications and industry regulations.
• Provide feedback to improve pharmacy practices.
• Manage prescription refill requests efficiently.

Requirements

Education

• Matric Certificate
• Pharmacy Technician Diploma or equivalent qualification

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in healthcare or pharmacy

Technical Skills

• Inventory Management
• Healthcare Regulations Knowledge

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Pharmacy Council Registration

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational

Advantageous

• Knowledge of over-the-counter medications: Understanding of common OTC products and their applications.
• Experience in retail pharmacy: Previous work in a retail pharmacy setting is preferable.
