We are seeking a knowledgeable Labor Relations Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide expert advice on labor laws and policies, ensuring compliance and fostering positive employee relations.

Job Responsibilities
  • Consult with management on labor-related matters and provide recommendations.
  • Assist in the development of employee handbooks and policy manuals.
  • Facilitate training sessions regarding compliance and labor regulations.
  • Monitor labor relations trends and provide insights to management.
  • Support in mediating disputes between employees and management.
  • Assess the effectiveness of labor relations strategies and make adjustments.
  • Conduct exit interviews to identify potential labor issues.
  • Provide ongoing support and advice to HR teams regarding labor relations.
  • Collaborate with external legal advisors if necessary.
  • Develop comprehensive reports for management regarding labor relations issues.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Labor Relations, Human Resources, or related field
  • Certifications in Labor Relations are advantageous
  • Labor Laws Strong understanding of South African labor laws and employment practices.
  • Conflict Resolution Skilled in mediating and resolving workplace conflicts.
  • Negotiation Highly skilled in negotiation and stakeholder engagement.
  • Communication Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Labor Relations Management Certification
  • English (Fluent)
  • Afrikaans (Conversational)
Advantageous
  • Experience in Collective Bargaining: Hands-on experience in collective bargaining negotiations.
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety regulations: Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
