Job Description

We are seeking a Civil Designer to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will work on a variety of civil engineering projects, leveraging both design and technical skills to produce comprehensive plans and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Create civil design layouts for infrastructure projects.
  • Engage with clients to understand specific project needs.
  • Conduct surveys and analyses to support design work.
  • Assist in preparing project proposals and bids.
  • Ensure that designs adhere to local codes and environmental regulations.
  • Utilize BIM software to enhance design accuracy.
  • Perform risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with construction teams to resolve design discrepancies.
  • Prepare documentation for permit applications.
  • Stay current with developments in civil engineering design.

Requirements

Education
  • BTech in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Professional Engineer (PrEng) qualification preferred.
Experience
  • 5 years of experience in civil engineering design.
