We are searching for a Power Grid Engineer to join our vibrant team in Durban. This role requires a proactive individual who is passionate about renewable energy and has a wealth of experience in power grid systems. You will be involved in the design, development, and maintenance of our power infrastructure, ensuring efficiency and sustainability in our operations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies for power grid upgrades.
• Optimize power flow and analysis for existing systems.
• Engage in community outreach regarding grid development projects.
• Collaborate with utility providers to ensure compliance and connectivity.
• Monitor and report on project progress and budget adherence.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Power Engineering
• Master's degree in Energy Systems is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in grid engineering

Technical Skills

• Load Flow Analysis
• Grid Modernization Techniques

Soft Skills

• Leadership

Certifications

• Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
