We are seeking a skilled Mining Engineer to join our team in Johannesburg. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating extraction activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and optimizing mining processes. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in mineral extraction techniques and a passion for innovation in the mining industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from conception through execution, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
• Implement sustainable practices within mining operations.
• Train and supervise junior engineers and technical staff.
• Maintain strong relationships with local communities and stakeholders.
• Support project proposals and participate in tender submissions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field
• Diploma in Mining Engineering is acceptable.

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mining operations and project management

• Mining Techniques

Certifications

• Registered Mine Manager (RMM)
• First Aid certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
