We are seeking a qualified and experienced Sawyer to join our team. The Sawyer will be responsible for operating and maintaining sawing equipment to cut, shape, and prepare timber products according to specifications. The ideal candidate should have strong woodworking skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Cut and saw timber according to specific requirements and measurements.
• Operate various types of sawing machinery and equipment.
• Assess logs and determine optimal cutting methods.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations.
• Inspect and maintain saw blades and other tools.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets.
• Monitor and manage inventory of logs and finished timber products.

Advantageous

• Prior experience operating specific types of sawing equipment: Familiarity with diverse sawing machinery is a plus.
• Knowledge of safety protocols in a sawmill environment: Understanding of safety practices to maintain a safe working environment.
