We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our dedicated team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical systems, ensuring operational efficiency and safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventative maintenance on all mechanical systems.
• Collaborate closely with engineers to implement system improvements.
• Actively participate in safety audits and reports.
• Effectively manage downtime through timely maintenance.
• Assist with the training of new staff on best practices.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical failures.
• Handle repairs and modifications to existing machines.
• Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency gains.
• Stay updated with industry trends and technologies.

Requirements

Education

• National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering is beneficial

Experience

• 4+ years of field experience
